Restylane and Perlane are some of the most popular wrinkle fillers available today. When administered by a plastic surgeon, they can give you a natural wrinkle correction that lasts for several months. They're made with a crystal-clear, non-animal, biodegradable hyaluronic acid gel, which is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is an instantaneous correction of unwanted wrinkles, lines and folds.
Both Restylane and Perlane are FDA approved for treating moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. So if you are bothered by these conditions, you may benefit from a Restylane or Perlane treatment.
Wrinkle fillers like these have been found to effective for treatments like:

Perlane Before and After

Perlane Before and After
Your injectable filler treatment will take place in a relaxed office setting and only require about 15 minutes. Prior to treatment, we will select the right product, dosage and locations it will be injected to achieve the best results possible. Restylane-L now contains lidocaine for enhanced comfort. A topical anesthetic, numbing cream or dental block may also be used to make the procedure as pain-free as possible. Your skin is cleansed with antiseptic, and the Restylane is injected with a fine needle. The doctor will briefly massage the area to ensure that the product is evenly distributed and that the skin's surface is smooth.
Both Restylane and Perlane work to temporarily add volume and provide smooth contour to the skin. That said, they are long-lasting fillers that, in most cases, only need to be retouched every six months to a year. Better yet, less material is needed for future treatments.
Directly following treatment, it is a good idea to stay away from direct sun, heat, and alcohol as they can contribute to side effects such as redness and swelling. Be sure to keep track of any symptoms you might experience and report them to your physician if you notice them worsening, or if they last longer than one week. Common side effects include pain or tenderness, lumps, itching, bruising and swelling. Indirect application of ice can help if you experience swelling after Restylane treatment. Remember to follow the specific instructions provided after your treatment at Indiana Plastic Surgery.
